About

Welcome to Two Guys, One Restaurant, a website originally devised by Craig Ineson and Kieron Morris to review restaurants in our locality.

What makes our review site unique is that we provide two reviews in one, catering for two different audiences. We are apples and oranges, chalk and cheese, milk and the fourth dimension.

Craig Ineson devotes his time to a lengthy review, providing full details on each part of a meal.

Kieron Morris on the contrary provides a “tl;dr” version (too long;didn’t read). He provides a five bullet point review that appeals to the reader in a hurry. His reviews are often more informal (and will no doubt contain in depth critical analysis, such as “It was fuckin’ shit”).

The beauty of the situation is, we can totally agree, or totally disagree with each other. We provide two stories of the same experience to give you the full picture.  Two heads are better than one, after all!

We will be doing reviews published every Saturday at 8:00am for Restaurants, Gastropubs, and Casual dining experiences. We will also be running series of articles on other related topics published on Wednesdays at 8:00am.

Please check back often. Please follow us on Twitter (@2g1r). Please “Like” us on Facebook (2guys1restaurant.com).

Thank you!

Craig Ineson

“Advocatus diaboli. Amare et sapere vix deo conceditur”

I am a undergraduate of the University of Liverpool’s Law School. I am currently studying for a Master’s degree at the same Univeristy with a focus on International financial, banking, and business law. By day, I am a quality controller for internships with Prospects. Up until recently, I was the best barman that Widnes had to offer.

To put it simply, there are two things I can safely say I love: Food and writing. One day I had a brainwave “Why not write about food?”. Hence, I have taken upon myself the yoke, the burden, the excruciating task of attempting to sample and then document the finest cuisine that money can buy. It’s going to be tough, but I think I can do it.

We’re going to be starting out by reviewing the restaurants that Liverpool has to offer. You will expect to see a wide array of premises, including formal restaurants, gastro-pubs, pubs and bars. We will be reviewing some of the most expensive and some of the least expensive, so there’s always sometime to suit your price range. We will be displaying our bill, including full details on how any offer works and a full price. We will always try to link to a menu too!

That way, we hope you’ll never have a nasty shock on our recommendation!

I hope you enjoy reading this site as much as we enjoy writing it!

“We are indeed much more than what we eat, but what we eat can nevertheless help us to be much more than what we are.” … Maybe?

Guys, what to say? You’ve read the rest, now read the best. My aim here is to tell it how it is and why it is in a petit way. For a long time now I have looked at review sites and thought “You know what? Why is everybody so pretentious?” I am aware using the word pretentious might make me so, but it’s a gamble I am willing to take.

I am going to endeavor to answer the questions that you want to know, but are never mentioned. Example: Yeah, it’s expensive, but you know what, it’s worth it. (Great Question, Kieron! – Craig)

My reviews are going to be relatively short and to the point. There’s going to be no bullshit jargon. I think you are going to like this.

Be aware: someone relatively normal is about to enter the review world.

Let’s see what happens…

Kieron 'tl;dr' Morris
